Peru: 2021 tax collection exceeds projections, nearly totals US$35 billion

In 2021, tax collection amounted to S/139.952 billion (US$34.988 billion), exceeding by more than S/13 billion (over US$3.250 billion) the amount projected in the multi-year macroeconomic framework and reaching the highest tax burden in the last seven years, the National Superintendence of Customs and Tax Administration (Sunat) reported on Thursday.
